5Jacquelyn J Xu, BS
Research Fellow (2024 - 2025)
Jacquelyn J Xu, MA, is an incoming orthopedic surgery resident at UPMC and will receive her medical degree from SUNY Downstate this May. She completed a year-long research fellowship with the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in 2025. Jackie received a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. Beyond academics, she is also a Perry Initiative Fellow and loves to DJs/produce in her free time.
Brian O. Molokwu
Research Fellow (2024 - 2025)
Brian Molokwu, MS, is an incoming orthopedic surgery resident at Thomas Jefferson University/ Rothman Orthopaedic Institute and will receive his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School this May. He completed a shoulder and elbow research fellowship at NYU Langone Health in 2025. Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New York University and a Master of Science in Immunology and Molecular Microbiology from Johns Hopkins University. Outside of medicine, he enjoys powerlifting, lacrosse, football, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
Swara R. Kalva, BS
Research Fellow
Swara Kalva is a rising 4th year medical student at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is currently on a research year at NYU Langone Health working with the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Swara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Global Health Studies from the University of Chicago.

Dario Fucich is a rising 4th year medical student at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences College of Medicine. He is currently on a research year at NYU Langone Health with the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Dario is a local new york native, hoping to pursue orthopedic surgery.
Roy Romem, MD
Research Fellow (2025)
Roy Romem, MD, is a PGY-5 orthopedic surgery resident at Meir Medical Center in Israel. He earned his medical degree from Tel Aviv University and completed a research fellowship in the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in 2025. His primary interests are shoulder and elbow surgery and sports medicine, and he plans to pursue clinical fellowships in both areas.
